Your theme preference
If you choose Light or Dark mode, that preference is stored in your browser separately from your test answers. Without a saved choice, the site follows your device’s colour preference. Clearing site data also clears your theme choice.
Test answers saved on your device
The GED practice test stores answers, flags, essay text, timing information and recent results in your browser’s local storage. Driving tests separately save the latest attempt for each test version, including answers, flags, mode, timing and results. Starting a new driving-test attempt replaces the previous saved attempt for that version. These records support saving and resuming practice. The site’s test code does not send them to a PrepTestLab server.
Saved work is available to people who use the same browser profile. Do not enter sensitive personal information in essays or practice answers. Clearing this site’s browser data removes locally saved progress. Different browsers, devices and domains use separate storage.
Accounts, analytics and advertising
This version has no PrepTestLab registration, payment processing, live advertising or analytics scripts. The site’s own code does not set advertising cookies. If these features are introduced, this policy and any necessary controls will be updated before they are enabled.
Hosting
The hosting provider may process connection information such as IP addresses, requested pages and technical logs to serve and protect the website.
External resources and feedback
Links to official handbooks and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. If you send feedback through a separate communication channel, that service may process the message. Avoid including personal or sensitive information.
Your choices
You can clear local storage through your browser’s site-data settings, use a separate browser profile on shared devices, and avoid sending personal information in feedback. Clearing storage cannot be undone by PrepTestLab.
